Yes…I am still talking about the guestroom paint colour. It did cause a little debate on facebook and amongst friends and family, with everyone taking different sides. If you will remember, the room started out yellow, VERY yellow.
I was going to do the paneling treatment and see how the yellow looked being contained to a small portion of the room. However, once I painted the bottom 2/3 of the wall white, and got started on the paneling one thing became abundently clear…
YELLOW WAS OUT.
OMG how could it have gotten any brighter?! It’s worse than when the whole room was yellow. I just don’t know how that’s even possible.
It also got me doubting green. If the yellow was this acid, was green really gonna be any better? Yeah… I didn’t think so. So it’s decided, grey it is. Don’t fret though, I will add some colour in there somehow.
So here’s a sneak peek of the new paint colour, and a bit of a view of how the board & batten turned out. I have a few more things that need to get done in the room before a full reveal, but I couldn’t leave you hanging.
What do you think about the grey?

Wall-Behr Premium Plus Ultra Eggshell in Anonymous
Board & Batten-Behr Premium Plus Ultra Satin in Pure White
Thanks everyone for the kind comments! We’ve very happy with the results, and cant wait to finish the room and show you all of it!
Love the grey! A lot better than the yellow (which appear dated very quickly). Very nice job on the paneling! I might ask you for advice on how to do that one the day I own a place. 😉
AMAZING!!! I need to hire your skills to make my house look as nice as yours!!!
