Last weekend on a whim I decided to paint the backs of my glass door kitchen cabinets. I gathered miscellaneous paint cans and did some tests.
I asked Instagram & Facebook for their advice.
I taped up my cabinets and readied them for paint.
I went against almost everyone’s advice, and painted one coat of robins egg blue.
I hated it, then proceeded to cover it up with two coats of Thai teal (the colour that everyone chose in the first place).
Then I ran out of paint, after only doing 1 out of 3 cabinets. Wow Kristen, you’re super awesome at planning.
It took me a week to get back to the hardware store and buy more paint, but at last I finally have all the cabinets painted. I still don’t have doors for two of them, but hey, they at least they’re painted.
I should make a resolution of starting a project and sticking with it through the end in a timely manner. Then I will need to make a resolution to keep my resolutions.
For anyone who’s interested, here are the specs for the colour. I LOVE IT!

Great idea. I have the same cabs in my kitchen. I might have to try this out… I wonder if the wife and I can come up with a color we both find acceptable…
Haha! Good luck with that. In my house most arguments result from trivial decisions, whereas the big important stuff is usually easy. 🙂
